DORMY HOUSE HOTEL, COTSWOLDS

You have to experience Dormy House to truly appreciate its magnificence. Five minutes in the place and you quickly realise that there is a host of seriously clever people behind this success story.
It is the country home we all dream of owning one day with relaxing decor, cosy fire places, amazing grounds and quirky details in abundance. Little wonder this boutique hotel has won armloads of awards.

Just when you think that it would be impossible to improve on anything, the Farncombe Estate team come up with even more ingenious ideas. If they didn't invent the "hygge" concept, they
must have been the first to bring it to the UK! There are two other hotels on the estate - Foxhill Manor and The Fish Hotel, with newly added Hilly Huts for a great family adventure.
Both of these properties are equally as brilliant as Dormy House Hotel. Life is all about making memories - where better to start banking them!

Scandi-chic throughout the hotel. The Blue Blood colour on the walls is wonderful.

As soon as you arrive at Dormy you feel the warmth. The staff are incredibly
friendly and welcoming and the saying: "People make the Place" is certainly true
for this hotel. The panelled hall with the enormous flagstone floors and sitting
rooms on either side make for a great entrance. The furnishings are Scandi-chic, in
keeping with the Nordic origins of the Sorensen family, who own the estate.

The rooms are wonderfully equipped and luxurious with kingsize beds in each
room, Nespresso machines and ipod docks. The tablets on offer allow you to do
everything from ordering room service to finding out about the local area.

The food is truly delicious with the Potting Shed offering an all-day service of
faff-free, seasonal food in an unfussy, relaxed environment. The Garden Room is
fine-dining, but in an informal environment with great views of the immaculately
                                                manicured, walled garden

The hotel has an outstanding spa with a lavender sauna, salt-infused steam room
and infinity pool. Treatments are from cutting edge brand Nauta Bisse, Temple Spa
and Pure Massage. Below: The amazing pool area.
